Hi all, this is my first time posting but I always get some of my best ideas from Chowhound. (can't stand the fake reviews on some of the other sites)
Here is some background. There will be four of us in New Orleans this coming weekend, with myself and my fiance having been multiple times. The only problem is I am lacking some inspiration to show these New Yorkers a great culinary experience.
My usual go to restaurants are Crepe Nanou, August, Galatoires, Cafe du Monde, Mothers Poboys and the list kind of ends there.
I love August but since I go every single time we kind of wanted to start with something else. We arrive Saturday for lunch and I was thinking maybe Cochon butcher from some reviews on here but would like to maybe start off with a great poboy ( was not impressed with Mothers). Dinner we want something fancy and delicious as well as unique to New Orleans. I have a car so there is no issue.
Sunday a friend planned a bloody mary brunch for us, but didnt tell me where so that is covered and then Sunday night we were hoping someone had an idea for a more casual and delicious spot, I was thinking la Crepe Nanou but it has been since 2005 that I last ate there as a student prekatrina.
Any ideas? We are all foodies.
