How long can homemade lemon curd go unrefrigerated?

I just made some pretty yummy lemon curd because my neighbor brought me lemons from his really wonderful tree. No kidding. His lemons are like no others!

Anyway, I'd like to send a jar to a friend. It would take at least 24 hours to get to her if I pay the hideous overnight UPS rate. It would probably take 48 hours or maybe 60 to get to a refrigerator if I send it regular Priority.

Do you think one or both would result in something she should still be comfortable eating?

It has eggs and butter which get cooked nearly to boiling. It's loaded with sugar with it's preservative effect and it's pretty acidic. It's in a canning jar that is sealed but not water bathed. I could water bath it if it would make that much difference. I just usually don't 'cause it doesn't last around here.
