Went over the weekend. Beautiful space, incredibly comfortable chairs. Service was good but could have been better. Food was hit or miss. Shrimp cocktail was 2 shrimp on steroids. Unbelievably large with virtually no taste and the cocktail sauce was no help. $19 for a 2 shrimp cocktail, a new record! New york strip, medium rare, good not great and IMHO not in the class of Masto's or Arnie Mortons. Wife had the Dover sole which was pretty tasty. Sides were average at best, garlic french fries, creamed spinach, sauteed mushrooms all nothing to get excited about. Desserts were weak. We ordered coffee but for some very strange reason they were out of coffee mugs? I never really got a straight answer. Overall, more sizzle then steak, excuse the bad pun. We did get to see Paris Hilton but then again who hasn't? Finally, why can't these new restaurants spend as much money on training cooks and wait staff as the decor and publicity?
