Hadn't been for years, but was in the neighborhood last night. The restaurant has been upgraded, with plush, velvet chairs, better silverware, tablecloths etc. Feels more formal and not quite as lively and fun - more like a ristorante than trattoria.

The prices seem really high - virtually all the pastas are 16-19, apps are around 13-14. Wine list similarly pricey.

The bread was dense and really salty, as was the spinach dip. Pasta's were oversauced - I had linguini w/vongole and lobster. Decent amount of shellfish. Mushroom risotto was dull, uninspired.

Dinner for four, only pasta and just a couple drinks, was $130.

Won't be returning.

Jon
