Best local/rural/unique in the NW corner of South Carolina?

Hi there -

My boyfriend and I are driving down from Toronto, Canada, to do some North Carolina mountain biking. We'll be mostly around Tsali National Forest (Bryson City) and Dupont State Forest near Brevard. It's our first time in the area and we'd really love to try some local food - it's still snowing up near us but I'm hoping there are ramps out down there! Any reccos? We're up for trying anything that's local and special, from bbq to bakeries and anywhere in between. We'll likely be driving home on the 77 so getting close to the west side of Greensboro - lots of recco's on the board for that area but if there's anything that jumps to mind near the 77 and all the way up to Monongahela in WV we'd happily collect ideas for those areas too. Unfortunately we'll be travelling Easter Sunday so that may limit our options for that day anyway.

Thanks so much!
