I stopped at a Jamaican roadside stand on rte 1 north and was delighted with my jerk pork meal. Tender cubes of pork drenched with a think sweet tangy jerk sauce, rice w/ beans, a hot cabbages carrot mix, a couple of fried plantains, and a sweet braided bun that had just been baked, large variety of Jamaican soft drinks, I had a ginger beer.
I had the small platter which was huge. the stand is on the left just past Flo's(which I'm so glad I passed by or wouldn't have tried this place)
This stand will close on Oct 11. I think the sign said JTT Jamaican food with a Jaimaican flag. Outside there are picnic tables and Bob Marley music for your listening pleasure and it was a pleasure.
