We tried the Lobster Roll at Willi's and found it to be just fair. The biggest problem was way too much mayonnaise, even though it was an interesting mayo with fennel in it. The mayonnaise just overpowered the lobster. The second problem was it was on what I would call a hybrid roll. It was cut on top like a New England roll, but was crusted all around so that it could not be, and was not, grilled in butter effectively.
We also tried the soft shell crab sandwich which was served in the same roll and was pretty good. The french fries with goat cheese was an interesting idea and it worked. We tried several other dishes that were generally ok, but I was a little put out at being charged $4.00 for bread and butter even thought he bread and the herb butter were both excellent.
