Need lively, boozy, fun place in the Slope

teater | Feb 19, 2004 09:40 AM

I have these city friends that never go anywhere but Boca Chica in Nolita for dinner. I've finally convinced them to come to the Slope. There will be about 6 or 7 of us and I need a place that meets their criteria and mine.

Mine: 5th Ave or above. Interesting food that won't bore me.

Theirs: relatively cheap, tolerant of a noisey big group, free flowing drinks like sangria or margaritas.

So here's what I've got so far, but I could use recommendations:

Coco Roco
Beso
Convivium (that might be a stretch)
Long Tan
