anyone try 'little potato' dongbei food in union city?

it really is little, and half buried in the corner of the mall on the north corner of alvarado niles and decoto, behind the old szechuan home (which has a sign promising its next reincarnation will be 'mongolian hot pot').

the name apparently refers to tiny potatoes featured in a dongbei dish, and a famous restaurant there by the same name. my dongbei friend suggests that this place isn't super authentic, but nevertheless, i'm always on the hunt for interesting asiatic offerings in that hood for my grandfather (and me) to enjoy.

so any other recommendations around there are also welcome.

grazie
