List of Great Markets--2 tried

Funwithfood | Aug 4, 200406:12 PM

Thanks for whoever provided the link for great LA markets. We tried the two below:

J&T European Gourmet Food Deli
1128 Wilshire Blvd.
Santa Monica 90401
(310) 394-7227

They had all kinds of smoked Polish sausages. The Kubanos was my favorite--reminded me of Nueske's bacon! I also liked the Hunter sausage. They also sell smoked pork ribs for only $3.50/pound, which can be sliced and eaten as is, or added to soups for a great smokey-pork flavor. I have yet to try the Piorogi (sp?) (sold frozen). They sell all kinds of Polish foods there too. The beers were very good.

Vincente Foods & Fine Meats in Brentwood

I grilled their Cranberry-Chicken Sausage, which had a very "holiday" flavor with cloves, etc. This would be a great addition to a Fall or Winter menu--yum!

This is a great market. I have never seen such an organized produce area.

***Unfortunately, I misplaced the list of markets--does anybody know where that link is--I'd like to try more of the markets recommended.

TIA :)
