The Limsterfest continues at Alama this Tuesday with such great dishes as Johnny Alamilla's signature ceviches; with striped bass with mild green chilies and red onions, bay scallops and grilled black mussels, spring onions, cucumbers and jicama, bluefin tuna with fresh scallions and a spicy coconut marinade and gulf prawns with tomato, toasted chili and avocado puree. Empanadas, grilled cuban bread salad, manchego cheese and spinach flan and churrasco style pork chops, pans seared halibut with hearts of palm, asparagus and white bean-herb salsa, Mayan spice-rubbed new york strip, Sonoma duck breast with sweet plantains and grilled yellowtail with roasted golden potatoes and artichokes round out the menu.
There are four seats left and we'd love to have a full table. The cost, including tax and tip, excluding wine should run about $50 per person and by all accounts it's well worth every penny. The lovely wine list provides many delightful choices with most bottles around the $28 range. If you have a bottle of wine you feel would go especially well with his food, by all means, please bring it.
Our reservation is for 7:30 p.m.
If you'd like to join us please email me by Monday morning at 8:30 a.m. The table will be closed after that time.
Please join us in bidding Limster a fond, tho sad, farewell.
