Limon and Nuevo Latino restaurants

Nathan Landau | Nov 27, 200211:01 PM

SF Weekly had a very favorable review of Limon restaurant, putting it in a category somewhere between traditional Peruvian and "Nuevo Latino" restaurants. Anybody been there yet to report?

If anybody cares to take it on, it would be interesting to see comparative takes on some of the many Nuevo Latino restaurants around now--Alma, Maya, Charanga, Destino, Platanos and I'm sure I'm missing some. I'm aware that the category (like most categories!) is somewhat arbitrary, but it seems to be a phenomenon in foodland. My introduction to the idea was at Ciudad in Downtown LA, which set a pretty high standard.
