Earlier this week on our way to the beach for dinner, we passed Mark's old place along 123rd street and "I saw the light" from Two Chefs Too sign beckoning in the night along with the warm amber glow of the new handsome dining room. Finally, they were open for business. We started with Tuna Tartare served on Idaho chips with Huancaina (a Peruvian pepper) aioli and Diver scallops (3 succulent orbs) with Artichoke and Roasted tomatoes in a truffle fondue. The mains were Barbequed Meatloaf with Black bean bbq sauce (a great sauce), and horseradish mashed potatoes and a crispy skin Salmon with bok choy, grapes with another great sauce. The food was excellent and the prices are very reasonable. The entire staff was warm and welcoming, our waiter was an old pro. They have a most interesting wine list. The by-the-glass suggestions were excellent. A great fine dining addition to the neighborhood. And FREE easy PARKING! Another reason for staying on this side of the bay.
