We stopped at Lido Bianco for Sunday lunch, based on a previous recommendation on this board, and were very happy we did. The restaurant overlooks the water and was a little difficult to find. It seems to be on the southern part of town. It is at Via Procaccia 3. As you enter you face a display of seafood that looks like a great fish market. The choices were very vast. None of the waitstaff spoke English, but they had a copy of the menu in English, which was not completely satisfactory. We noticed sea urchins as we passed the display, but didn't know the Italian for it and couldn't find them on the English menu. We finally went to the display with the waiter and pointed. They're called Ricci. It was the first time we had ever seen them except in a sushi place. They brought a plate of them in the shell and they were very good. As we continued to travel south in Puglia we saw them available at several beach places.
We also had a very good grilled fish, I think it was call Oranto(I'm trying to decifer the waiter's handwriting on the check). It was served whole and cooked just right.
We took a detour off the highway as we were passing to try to find the place and it was definitely worth going out of our way for. It was one of the best meals we had in three weeks in Italy.
