I regularly lurk around the public librarian listserv PubLib (in a professional capacity) and there's been a recent thread about updating the format of the forum. One of the moderators replied,
"But yeah, we're no Chowhound (or whatever your favorite forum du jour
is). I've occasionally commented on that for a couple of years now, and
one of my concerns is that the old-fashioned list format is a big
turnoff to librarians from more recent "net generations."
There were numerous responses and several others mentioned Chowhound as a site to emulate.
I just think that if librarians are on your side, you're probably doing something right.
