I was at Lespinasse last Friday night and it was truly a superb dining experience. a level with a very small few others in the world: Paris, Munich, Leon, etc. After several visits, the quality of service and food remain tops. I had the eight course tasting menu and my girlfriend had the vegetarian tasting menu. Delouvrier use of subtle Asian and summery spices along with the kitchens fantactic ingrediants made for a wonderful meal. Especiialy wonderful were scallops with black truffles, baby suckling pig with a pepper stuffed with veal, Yellowfin ceviche, seared foie gras w/ apricot, and much more. They alsu matched different wines with some of the dishes. The deserts were also fabulous. The coffee, however was dreadful. Strange. It should also be noted that the chef, Delouvrier came out and he is a lovely person.
