lemon moon

fat kitty | Mar 23, 2004 05:37 PM

grabbed lunch to go from Lemon Moon tdy (on Olympic at Bundy).

i had a slice of "parmasan" quiche. it was STUFFED w/ spinich and very light and creamy -- hardly any eggy "batter", just the spinich loosely bound together w/ the creamy parmasan filling that was barely there. delicate, flaky crust. it was delicious! h'ever, for the price (i think it was $8+ incl tax), it was kind of a skimpy piece w/ nothing at all on the side.

my friend had a 2 salad combo, which is $8-9 and the portions did not seem generous. it came w/ a little bit of bread. she liked her salads, esp the panzanella.

don't think this will be a regular place, due to the small portions for the money, but might make an occasional change of pace.

i'm such an addict of the cafe at bergamot station, where you get more food, and good food, for the same money (all sandwiches come with a nice green salad on the side, for example). they have a nice variety (including daily specials and different soup), but i eat there waaaay too often and was looking for something new. lemon moon may or may not be it.
