Leinala's Finnish Bakery (Sudbury)

Mr. Cheeze and I were recently in Sudbury/North Bay (Mr. Cheeze is originally from the area) and had the opportunity to visit Leinala's for our Finnish food fix (Mr Cheeze is of Finn descent). We are regular customers of Milbree Viking Deli here in Toronto

We haven't seen the Fazer chocolates at Millbree - so we stocked up on those, as well as other Fazer candy.

We purchased some rye bread, which was very fresh and made a lovely pairing for our smoked whitefish (also from Leinala's). The smoked whitefish was as good as Milbree's. We also purchased some smoked trout (which I've not seen at Millbree) - it was phenomenal. It almost had a Haida candy smoking to it, which I have only ever had out west. We did not try any smoked salmon as they were sold out by the time we arrived

We did not try any of the pastries, but there was a full bakery, which smelled delicious (even to my retired baker father, who was with us)

If you are ever in the area - it is worth a stop 186 CASWELL DR, SUDBURY (just off Regent)
