Le Poisson Japonais (Palo Alto) - another review

Han Lukito | Oct 27, 200203:52 PM

We(myself and friend) came armed with the report from Melanie Wong. We gave the report to the lovely waitress and the owner and told them to duplicate the effort as much as possible. At first, the owner seemed perplexed but finally agreed. He tried to steer us with omakase (Pri Fix) but we insited with the report.

We were not disappointed !

Kampache: it is a type of fish, thinly sliced with some white coloured sauce that is a bit sweet and salty. Very nice.

Pan fried chilean sea bass: perfectly seared although I think it lacks flavor just a bit.

Seared albacore: sorry, I don't remember this one.

Fillet Mignon: good quality beef, very good flavor.

For dessert, we got the chocolate cake with some ice cream on top. Also, got the pastry with white vanilla ice cream. Both are delicious !
