Le Creuset question re: utensils

The info that came with my Le Creuset pot said to only use wood, nylon or plastic utensils. Does that really mean I can't use my regular whisk to make a roux, etc. in my pot? I can understand not using anything with a sharp edge, like spatulas and knives. But I think I've seen cooking shows where the chefs use metal whisks and spoons in the Creuset pots all the time. (Of course, they can probably afford to replace at will!)

What do you experienced Creuset owners really use with your pots?
