We are moving to the LA area to be closer to family and finally jettison these horrible Cleveland winters. (nough said)

We have found two nice houses (via net), one in the Venice area, the other area close to where laurel canyon meets hollywood blvd. So what is the chow quotient of these two places? We have to have chinese, japanese, and korean CLOSE. Oh, and did I mention Pho and Bahn mi shouldn't be too far either.

Seriously, is everything relatively close and easy to get to? For instance, do you need to go to Koreatown/Japantown for good K/J food? sheesh, I hate sounding like such a newbie, especially having eaten my way through new york and chicago during college and grad school.
