Late night at NOPA

Walking home from a bar on Saturday, two friends and I decided we were hungry right in front of NOPA - so in we went! This was my first visit, and the place was bustling at 11:45 PM. We sat at the communal table - this was nice, people were friendly and we could check out what other people were eating. We shared three small items and one glass of Chenin Blanc.

The "meal" began with a small complimentary teaser of crostini w/ citrus infused olive tapenade. This was nicely presented and very tasty.

The french fries were very good - crispy, plentiful and served with a creamy red pepper dipping sauce.

A white bean/feta/tomato/oregano casserole was also good - not super special, but it made a great late night snack, and the extra sauce served as an extra dip for fries.

The small plate of carrot, celery root and brussels sprouts were also good - the peppery glaze became a bit too thick as the vegetables cooled, but the flavor of the sauce worked well with all the vegetables, but especially the soft roasted celery root.

Not a cheap late-night snack, but a great option for a fun, tasty late meal. I'd definitely return for a full meal at some point.
