My husband and I will be in Paris this Friday for his birthday. We are thinking of having lunch at Arlots right off the train, a snack at L'Avant Comptoir and then dinner.....not sure!
Dinner will be late, probably at 9:45/10pm. We'll be finishing up at an event on the Pigalle/Montmartre border and we are staying in St Germain.
Currently have bookings at Bourse et Vie, Les Canailles, Les Juveniles, but have the feeling these recommendations may be a bit outdated. We went to Les Affranchis last year and loved it, have also enjoyed Le Coq Rico (and elsewhere in Paris, Paul Bert, Le Villaret, Frenchie).
I considered Verjus and Condesa, but I think it'll be too late for us to sit down for a prix-fixe meal.
Great food, a fantastic wine list and relatively casual atmosphere would be ideal. Given how late it will be, probably don't want to go to far out of the taxi trajectory of Montmartre to St Germain, but happy to stop along the way or go all the way to St Germain to eat as well.
On another note, we'll be picking up provisions Saturday morning for the train ride back. Have never been to the Marche des Enfants Rouge. Would that be a good place to stop? Or are we better off with Le Grand Epicerie?
