I went there for my wife's birthday dinner last night, thought I would add my own review for my fellow foodies. I read all the reviews here and elsewhere and would like to thank everyone for doing so, the suggestions were great!
We started out with a manchego cheese, serrano ham and olive plate. All were really, really good. The ham and cheese pairing was great. After that we ordered the calamari, crab stuffed peppers and octopus. I've had bad experiences with octopus before but decided to order it anyway since it was so highly recommended. Oh my - I've never had octopus like that! Not rubbery at all and the smoke flavor was delightful. Calamari was only lightly breaded and also great, my only complaint was that the sauce was great and there wasn't enough of it. Crab stuffed peppers surprised me, I was expecting something hot like a stuffed jalapeno and there was no heat at all.
Second round was grilled asparagus, the house potatoes and short ribs. The short ribs were incredibly tender, the asparagus was to die for and I just kept going back to the potatoes.
For desert the waiter brought us an ice wine and chocolate bruchetta without us even asking (for the birthday girl he said). It was a perfect pairing, the sea salt on the chocolate cut the sweetness perfectly. We also ordered the mango/saffron sorbet (meh, although the wife loved it) and the goat cheese tart. I expected something lightly fried for the tart but it was actually more like a cheesecake and was one of the best desserts I've ever had. The frozen berries and basil make it a flavor explosion that can't be beat.
Finally, the service was outstanding. Our waiter was a yankee, but he was damn good. His suggestions were rarely the high dollar items, even the wine, and all were excellent.
