Large pork shoulder - crock pot

michaeljc70 | Apr 19, 201509:13 AM     8

I am attempting, for the first time, a 9lb pork butt (with bone) in my slow cooker. I put it on high and added a bunch of stuff (chipotles, oranges and limes cut up, cumin, oregano, onion, garlic, salt).

I have a large (I think 7 qt) slow cooker and it fit. It is kind of a tight fit though. My question is how long will this take or is it too big and I am better off changing this to the oven in a big roasting pan (covered with foil)?

I put it on high because I don't have 8 or 10 hours today.
