Eaters of the world, I need your suggestions, please!
In a few months, I'm off to SE Asia. I've scanned this board back through the beginning of the year, and found some good suggestions on Vietnam (where I'll be for about 3 weeks) and BKK (only 2 days) and Cambodia for a bit (but only Siem Reap).
But, I couldn't find any good chow info on Luang Prabang or Vietiane. (I'll only be in V for as long as it takes to get a flight to LP.) So, if anyone has suggestions, please let me know.
For the record, while I love finding the very best hole-in-the-wall palces, I figure that in VN and BKK, at least, I can just head to markets and eat my way around these places, but please let me know if there's something that I absolutely should not miss! Although I read a NYT review on high end restaurants in HCMC, I'm not into the white table cloth thing, for the most part.
Thanks. Happy eating and travelling!
