usually i'm good at fielding these questions but i want to see what you guys have to say:
i have been asked to pick a place for a small group of people (probably around 7), including a very important and famous old guy.
the restrictions are as follows:
preferred locations: chinatown, south loop, or greektown, etc. for cream of the crop chicago food with a budget of about $20-$25/person
I thought of lao szechuan, oysy, and red light. I can't vouch for the food at the latter 2 since i Haven't been there but have read and heard good things. and the prices fit the budget restraints. lao szechuan i've been to and is probably one of the better chinese restaurants around this area...
can't travel too far north (coming from Hyde Park on transit w/elderly guy). basically loop or south, and not too far west as transit gets more hairy then.
Let me know if you guys have opinions...thanks much.
oh this is for sunday night, so that wipes out some possibilties...
