I know some chowhounders have said good things about Landmarc, but on Saturday night my husband and I were very disappointed by the food. They are known (justifiably) for their extremely reasonable wine list, which is great, but we really thought the food was for the most part mediocre. I started with mussels with chorizo and onion--sauce was just okay, and mussels were very small and *not* tasty. (Since mussels are a big highlight of their menu, they should be fat and sweet or not offered that day!) My husband started with a small portion of spaghetti bolognese, which was the best dish of the evening. I went on to a main course of crispy sweetbreads, which is listed as one of their specialties. They were very bland and more mushy than crispy. My husband's entree was a grilled pork chop with a caramelized onion and apple sauce. The sauce was good, but the chop was flavorless and too dry. Our waiter knew we weren't happy, so he brought us a "freebie" dessert of lemon tart, which was very good, but we do not plan to go back. Too many other great options in this city!
