My wife and I love lamb kebabs but don't know how to proceed at home.

What type of cut should I be using? Should I purchase a leg of lamb and then have the butcher cut it into cubes?

Also, any suggestions for marinade and cooking technique is appreciated. Our only limitation is a so-so quality DeLonghi electric grill that doesn't get as hot as I'd like.
