So we're still doing wedding research and tried La Terza tonight as it's a leading contender for our spring reception. In short, we're very impressed.
Mom and step-dad joined us for our 6:30 reservation and we were sat promptly. We began our dinner with four apps:
Roasted peppers with burrata -smoky and creamy, I could have licked the plate!
Eggplant lasagna - very good, but we LOVE Angelini's lasagna a little more than this one
Roasted mushroom vegetable soup - chunky and hearty with a little broth and perfectly cooked veggies
Baby beet salad - I hate beets, but tried a bit of mom's salad and thought it was quite lovely - light and fresh
Mains consisted of:
Branzino with crispy onions and what seemed to be a spinach foam - beautiful presentation and wonderful flavors
Lamp chops with arugula - smoky from the grill and perfectly cooked pink and tender
Spaghetti with blue crab and meyer lemon
Roast half chicken with caponata - crispy and juicy
For dessert we tried the panettone bread pudding with pear sorbet and the flourless chocolate hazelnut cake with mascarpone ice cream - both were so complex and amazing.
Our waiter and busser were cordial, authentic, and attentive. At the end of our meal, our server brought over 4 glasses of moscato, which tasted like grapefruit and was a sublime end to a fabulous Sunday supper. With wine and before tip, total was $230.
