I love Joel's Food. I've eaten at a few of his restaurants and really enjoyed the concept and the service at all of them. My wife and I are finally taking our birthday & baby-making trip to Paris (11/17-11/21) and they're closing La Table indefinitely on 11/15 per the gentleman I just spoke with on the phone. I was really looking forward to that 59 euro club menu with wine inclusive.
The gentleman said they would be opening a new restaurant closer to the Arc, but he wasn't aware if the new place would be open yet.
My plan for our food was to eat a two or three lunches/dinners in the 50 euro/pp range, one dinner around 150 euros/pp and bistros/brasseries/etc for other food.
We'd planned to do
Chez L'Ami Jean
Les Fables de la Fontaine
Le Chateaubriand (how does one make reservations here? I can never get anyone to answer the phone)
L'Atelier du Joel Robuchon
I know people constantly post up the "please review my list of restaurants in Paris" but if anyone has any input on these, and a comparable alternative to La Table, I would be eternally grateful. I've been doing as much ChowHound-Research as possible, but it's getting close to the point I'll need to have reservations complete for some of these spots for my trip.
Thank you guys from the bottom of my heart.
