My fiance and I are running up to SF in a couple of weeks to get her fitted for her wedding dress, on what happens to be her birthday weekend. Consequentially, I'm crying for help on restaurants.
Here's what my research has yielded for intel so far:
-Myth- menu looks great, small plates are fun, the buzz on the board is very positive
-Piperade- Basque sound interesting, but looking over the menu little grabbed me
-Farallon- sounds like a good choice for ambience, but citysearch yielded many negative comments on service and I tend to get pissy when ignored at >$100/person
-Cetrella- kinda far, but looks interesting- maybe brunch Sunday?
-Masa- chef who made it has moved on, dunno if it's still worth the visit
-Dining Room at the Ritz- Siegal, chef from Masa- looks interesting, menu appealing, no sense of how it is today
-Terrace at the Ritz- Sunday Brunch?
-Restaurant Gary Danko- most of the comments I found by searching the board were from '03
Right now I'm leaning towards Myth as a new place hitting its stride is always exciting and fun, but the Dining Room at the Ritz, Masa, and RGD look like serious food.
Anyone care to help?
