LA Hound Seeks Advice

I'm coming from Los Angeles to visit my favorite city in a few days, and would really appreciate some feedback/advice from those of you "in the know". Here's what I've got so far:

- Looking for a good, casual breakfast place in the Times Square area. I've heard mixed about Norma's. Any other ideas?

- Need a late-ish (~10:00pm) dinner spot near the Beacon Theater. Since it will be late, I was thinking someplace with either small plates or good appetizers might work. Open to anything other than sushi or Mexican (I get enough of those in L.A.). Is there a bar with good a good appetizer menu? A backup would be a similar place back near Times Square.

Monday breakfast/brunch: Weather permitting, we're planning to escape from Midtown and go walk around the Village. Any good breakfast/brunch spots?

Monday night: Dinner at Union Square Cafe
- is it still good
- any "must haves" on the menu?

Tuesday: Want something not too expensive, so I'm thinking of pre-theater at Uncle Nick's.
- is this an okay choice?
- any "must haves" on the menu?
- will 6:00 work for an 8:00 show?

Thanks in advance for your help. If any of you ever come to L.A., I'd be happy to return the favor :-)
