I definitely need the help of the Philly hounds.
I am putting together a dinner for 15-20 people mid-week (in about 2 wks). I am from Phila. and was just there last month -oh how I loved Marigold Kitchen, btw, but I only visit a couple times a year, so I need some insight.
The dinner is a mix of my colleagues from NYC and L.A. and grad students we are wining and dining.
We are thinking no more than $50/person for food and are trying to strike a balance--good enough food to please the 'hounds in the group but enough atmosphere/scene to satisfy the students. Last year we did Buddakan and it was pretty good. I thought for such a large group a Starr restaurant was probably the only option - does that seem right?
If it does, which of the Starr empire would you choose (leaving out Buddakan)?
