A group of investors have revived and reopened La Cremaillere in Banksville, N.Y., along the Bedford/Greenwich border. This venerated restaurant had long been a bastion of French Country dining. It had closed for a long time due to scandals revolving around the original operators, the Meyzen family. Newly appointed executive chef Thomas Burke had previously put his talents to work at Purdy's Farmer and the Fish restaurants in Westchester and NYC, Le Bernardin in Manhattan, and The French Laundry in Napa, CA. A glance at the starting prix fixe menu options shows a distinct French/American influence. Looking forward to revisiting at some point. Any memories? www.lacremny.com
