I cannot believe the positive posts I read about this restaurant. The restaurant was extremely cramped and had terrible, overly bright lighting. Loud tourists on either side of us chatted incessantly. As it was late afternoon, we asked the waiter for a single serving of cheese fondue to share. "For the two of you?" he asked, and we responded yes. He brought an ungodly amount of fondue that we barely made a dent in, then when the bill came, we saw we had been charged for two fondues. He argued that his question "for two" meant we agreed to two servings, even though we asked for one. Thus, a quick afternoon snack at a "value" restuarant cost us more than $50. Never again. Btw, I highly recommend fondur at Brasserie Julien-- excellent atmosphere and service!
