I'm making a visit to LA for several days. Never been there before, and know little about the food scene. I'd like to ask a few questions.
1. What types of food *must* one sample when visiting LA. What is it famous for?
2. What are the best Korean spots in Koreatown? Can you provide three or four suggestions, covering several types of dishes, i.e. barbecue, panchan, yuk hae, soon dae kuk, etc.
3. Similar to Korean food, sushi is supposed to be much better on the west rather than east coast. Any recommendations?
4. Is there an Armenian food scene in or around LA? What about Persian?
I'll be staying on Wilshire Blvd in Beverly Hills.
