Kyoto Rock in Boca

Just noticed this in a newly renovated strip mall on Federal Hwy. I absolutely love uni and sometimes restaurants don't have it but Kyoto Rock did. The food was excellent!!! I had miso soup, 4 pieces of uni sushi, 2 of yellow tail and 2 of eel. Portions were good and the sushi was wonderful. DH had chicken teriyaki (he doesn't do raw fish) which started with a salad with the usual ginger dressing but not romaine - field greens. He is a romaine kind of guy but really liked the greens. He said his chicken was also excellent. They offered us an amuse bouche to start (not sure if they do it all the time as we were the only people in there in the beginning) of salmon sashimi (pickled I think he said) and tuna sushi. We were not offered hot towels which was unusual but I didn't notice until after we left. It could have been an oversight.
Near the end of our meal 5 big FAU students (DH thinks they were football players) came in and, as we were leaving, we heard one of the guys say "Dude, you just ordered 80 pieces". I was sorry we were leaving as I'd like to have seen his order come out lol!

So happy I don't have to go down to Deerfield to get my uni.
