We were looking for a hole in the wall for a quick cheap meal before a concert on Sunday evening at Herbst Hall. Saw several Asian families in Them Ky and decided to give it a try.
I really was excited by the taro cake with egg -- The taro cake had been reheated, and was not really hot as I'd prefer, but still, it was a joy -- especially with the uniquely flavored dipping sauce. And it had no pork in it, so the non-meat eater at the table could enjoy it as well. Next visit I'll try the "radish cake".
House special shrimp salad was delightful. Included some non-descript squid tossed in, but served with a very tasty dipping sauce. Completely different from the one served with the taro cake.
Spicey chicken was a bit tough. But its also came flavored with lottsa freshly cut garlic and ginger.
A true hole in the wall that did not disappoint.
