krispy (sp) pata?

re: discussion at link below

Jim and Melanie: I am a little confused by this discussion. Crispy is an english word, isnt it, not tagalog. So why should the tagalog rendition of the hard "k" sound be relevant? I would imagine the dish has another name altogether when fully rendered in tagalog, which might be why "krispy" pata doesnt come up on searches.

And that a tagalog speaker might spell crispy as krispy, by mistake.

However, on the other side it is possible that the english word was adopted into tagalog? If so it wouldnt be the first time when an english word entered another language and evolved separately there.
