Kringle Singles? [Wisconsin]

mcsheridan | Nov 22, 201406:35 AM     5

I'm curious if any Wisconsin Chowhounds are familiar with this product. I just returned from a trip to Naples, Florida, where the Johnsonville brat folks just opened the first of its kind retail store. In addition to the usual sausage lineup, including some products not available in supermarkets, they're selling a fairly wide range of Wisconsin's food items. Also available are Johnsonville branded hats, scarves, grilling items, even a cookbook.

Found in the freezer case - if memory serves the brand was Danny's Kringle Singles. Three to a package, you prepare them in the oven; included was an generous individual icing packet for each of the three. I've never had kringle from a bakery in Wisconsin, so I have no basis for comparison; however, these were really good.

ETA: they were Pecan, and you can never go wrong giving me a pecan-based pastry. :)
