So my new office is in the thick of Koreatown. Modernists recent post about all the great Korean restaurants seems great, but I wouldn't know bul go gi from skewers if they hit me in the face!
I'm always willing to try new places and things, as it seems sacrilegious to go to Trimana grill or worse yet, Subway, while in this part of town.
So, help steer and educate me a bit. For someone who has never been to an outright Korean restaurant (though lots of Japanese, Thai, Vietnamese and Chinese dining experience), what are the standards? For someone who prefers more of the chicken, seafood or pork varieties over steak, liver, tongue, or things some people may consider "different," where should I turn? Any must-try lunch establishments around here?
Thanks in advance for your help with this Koreatown newbie.
