Korean Dumplings at Village Food World

I haven't been taking the T lately, so I haven't been walking past Village Food World, (the Brookline Village incarnation of Oriental Grocery) much lately....But in addition to a homecooked container of japchae (vermicelli noodles) stirfried with fresh veggies for dinner the other day, I picked up a GREAT bag of frozen dumplings.

They are by a Korean company called Chodang, and were $4.99 for a 1.5 pound bag. I got kimchi, with leeks, tofu and soy protein...These are easily the best commercially-made frozen dumplings I've found; the size of restaurant potstickers, toothsome, chewy skin, and insides so well-seasoned I didn't use dipping sauce.

The dumpling selection in this tiny place has always been exceptional; more non-pork options and much better quality brands than I've found at Super88...
