Korean BBQ at The Corner Place

I went to The Corner Place, a Korean BBQ-only place with gas grills in the tables. I ordered the spicy BBQ pork. The banchan arrived immediately and the pork slightly after. The banchan were okay, but the pork was bland and unappetizing. How do you make spicy pork bland? In any event it was not a good use of the noble pig.
