Knife Advice

My brother made me this gorgeous demascas steel knife that I’d love to use in the kitchen but don’t want to accidentally damage it. I’d really appreciate it if anyone has advice or things to make sure I avoid doing. At this point all I’m aware of is oiling it to prevent rust and no dishwasher/standing water.
