Kiriko omakase dinner

Last night had an Omakase dinner. Chef/owner, Ken was wonderful. He was very knowledge, friendly and planned a memoriable evening for us. Went with Hubby, D and M. Pretty much all had the same meal with a couple of exceptions, due to the fact some of us were not quite as adventurous as others. Halfway through the meal, Ken said he had some unusual meat for us to try. I noticed he watched each of us very carefully for our reaction. I'm thinking 4 or 5 meats he would mention, but when he said "Horse", I about came out of my saddle. Anyways, Hubby and D, were up for it, not me or M. They thought it to be somewhat gamey but enjoyed it. Long story short, would absolutely recommend Kiriko (on Sawtelle and Olympic). Really nice evening.
