King 5 Noodle House, Elmhurst

Ivan Stoler | Dec 14, 2004 10:23 AM

This place took over the old Captain King space on Bway + 82 St. Though they made it look much smaller. It's supposed to be a noodle chain from Taiwan. The main part of the menu is all noodles. I ordered the double cooked Chinese ham. What I got was a little different from my expectation. I got a dish of white cabbage, green pepers, some mushrooms and slices of the ham, but no noodles. I did get a bowl of rice on the side w/out the extra .50 charge. A good dish though I had a jones for noodles. They serve a different type of tea, much earthier than most. Almost like a Korean tea, not a Pu-Erh.
