We've poked our heads in on the way out of Lemongrass, and decided to give it a shot for lunch. Initially, we were confused by the take out menu above the counter. Once we realized there was full service, we took advantage.
Wife and I ordered Banh Mi. I had the special, a sort of play on a cold cuts combo with grilled beef added. She had the grilled chicken. Both sandwiches were quite good, and the special, in particular, had a nice balance of flavors.
We also split a bowl of meatball pho. The broth really added complexity to the rice noodles, with bursts of basil and anise, though the meatballs had a lousy, synthetic texture, and didn't take on any of the flavor.
Even by local standards, the pricing and portions are an extraordinary value. The sandwiches are $3 or less, and are larger than those I remember at Jasmine Deli. Other menu options are under $7. All in all, lunch with drinks (and substantial leftovers) came to $15.
The place was doing some good lunch business on this holiday, both takeout and in-store. The BP/Champlain 610 corridor seems to be a culinary diamond in some substantial rough.
