Any killer (thick) hot chocolate around?

When we lived in New York, my girlfriend was addicted to the hot chocolate from City Bakery (a place known for its hot chocolate and the home of an annual hot chocolate festival). The chocolate was very chocolate-y, very thick and sat simmering all day. It also made killer mochas. It was available all day, every day.

Are there any places in LA (prefer west side) that have amazing hot chocolate of a similar nature?

Also looking for pepper-y hot chocolate.
