We went to Keys for breakfast this morning, the one on Raymond off University; it was just awful! I'm not sure I understand why this place is sprouting up all over the Twin Cities. My french toast tasted like bread dipped in egg, no sweetness at all, with a clump of salty margarine and fake syrup. Paz's hash browns were mushy and undercooked. Another person at the table had a single pancake which was barely cooked at all.
I understand that this place is supposed to represent your standard greasy spoon, but that really doesn't mean it has to have terrible food.
